Kaytie
Managing Director

Kaytie is the founding director and one of the creative brains behind Make Do & Grow. Kaytie spent 10 years working in B2B Marketing Communications before founding Make Do & Grow in March 2017. Passionate about community, creativity and reuse, the organisation launched following her own childhood experience and current needs as a parent with growing children. Kaytie continues to run the organisation with the support of the board, parent steering group and local community.

Gosia
Toy Library Coordinator

Gosia is a local mum (originally from Poland) who has been coming to Make Do & Grow since we opened our doors for the first time. She became part of our team in 2021 as Toy Library Coordinator, bringing us her passion for family and amazing administration skills.

Ask her about toys and play and she will talk for days!

Elena
Volunteer Coordinator

Elena is a local mum originally from Yorkshire. She found out about Make Do & Grow in 2021 and has been a big fan ever since! Elena makes everyone feel included and welcome. Ask her about reusable nappies, crocheting and, of course, volunteering.

Lauren
Team Leader

Lauren joined us in early 2020 through Community Jobs Scotland. A born and bred Govanite, passionate about her community and an integral member of the team, Lauren has progressed through the organisation to Team Leader working in both our shop space and supporting our creative sessions. Lauren is currently studying for a BA Hons in Community Education. 

Nawal
Shop/Creative Assistant

Nawal joined us through the Kickstart scheme and quickly became a valued member of the team. After supporting the launch of The Toy Library, Nawal developed an interest in photographs and social media and now works in the shop and library part time, alongside attending a course in Photography at college.

Huda
Shop/Creative Assistant

Supported by Glasgow Guarantee, Huda is one of the warm and welcoming faces in our shop. With a passion for working with children and Early Years education in particular, Huda also supports our toddler craft sessions and external creative activities.
