Donate Your Items!

We welcome donations of good quality children’s items.

Your kind donations provide local parents with affordable options for clothes and toys, and enable our play sessions for growing children. Your donations also give pre-loved items a new life, combating waste.

We ask that donated items are clean and complete. We are looking for:

  • Clothing — baby to teen

  • Shoes

  • Toys

  • Books

  • Accessories — i.e. hats, costumes, equipment, pushchairs etc

Appeal for Name-Brand Toys

Name-brand toys are often out of reach for low income families. Sharing these toys as a community has the power to bring joy, and ensures no one misses out on products which are special to growing children.

Appeal for Unopened Toys

Our Birthday Scheme allows every child that’s part of our Toy Library membership to choose a brand-new toy to keep on their birthday. Unopened toys are essential to this.

How To Donate

All donations can be dropped off in our shop at 41 Burleigh Street, G51 3LA. Our hours are Monday to Saturday 10.00am – 4.30pm.

Please add a note to donations intended for the Toy Library (as opposed to our second hand shop) so that our team can process accordingly.

All items are quality and safety checked by our team, then cleaned and fresh batteries added where needed. Unsuitable items will be re-homed, or given a new life during our craft sessions. We recycle unsuitable items as a last resort.

Help Us Pay The Bills

We are a not-for-profit organisation, and often depend on financial donations to run our services. All money donated goes directly into supporting the services we offer, such as the Toy Library and our Creative Sessions.

If you are able, please consider making a financial donation. This will allow us to keep administering community spaces where children are encouraged to learn, play and grow.

All financial donations are invested directly into the organisation, helping us with our core running costs and allowing us to reach more families.

Donations also support the purchase of new toys unlikely to be sourced through collection. We are happy to add your name to each toy purchased via your donation, and let you know how often it has been taken out and enjoyed

Here are some other ways your donation can help:

  • Buy a month’s Toy Library membership for a child — £10

  • Buy a birthday gift for a child (Toy Library members) — £15

  • Buy a clothing and toy voucher for a family — £25

  • Buy an annual Toy Library membership for a child — £100
