The Remit – Halloween Special
A special Halloween session to launch our new art and crafts club, Saturdays, 3.30-5pm.
Join us on 26th October as we design our own squidgy cloth pumpkins from scrap fabrics and create creatures for our shop or home window display.
Following feedback from parents and children we are launching a new art and crafts club, running every Saturday afternoon in term time from 3.30-5pm. For ages 8 to teen, the club, (named after our pet Robot, Remit) aims to teach basic art, design and crafting skills from sketching to sewing and papier mache to photography.
Facilitated by artists, blocks will focus on developing interests across four creative areas; drawing and painting, textiles, crafting and photography. All sessions reuse scrap and waste materials wherever possible, reducing waste, developing creative thinking and making activities more easily replicable at home. Children will be encouraged to plan and develop future sessions, based on their interests and learning.
This Halloween special serves as a one-off introduction to the club. Future bookings can be made in advance for full blocks or individual sessions.
Make Do and Grow is a social enterprise focussed on supporting growing families, developing creativity and encouraging reuse.
All profits are reinvested into the organisation, generating free opportunities for children and families to access support, creative well-being activity and play.
