Join us for four creative sessions, learning new techniques and developing new art skills; making and creating with scrap materials found around the home.
Make new friends and enjoy the well-being benefits of creative activity in a small group, relaxed environment.
Session one, Tuesday 13th July – Cardboard
Creating structured 3d models based on dream places and spaces.
Constructing, shaping, scoring, assembling.
Sessions two, Wednesday 14th July – Paper
Designing mini zines or journals on a topics of interest.
Collage, cutting, tearing.
Session three, Thursday 15th July – Plastic
Fusing plastic bags to create practical pieces of art (wallets, notebook covers).
Plastic fusing, weaving, composition
Session four, Friday 16th July – Fabric
Reworking t-shirts and scrap fabric to create imaginative new garments.
Mood boards, stitching, fabric cutting, designing.
Spaces are limited to a maximum of 12 per session, so registration is essential. Sessions are free to access thanks to the Creative Scotland/ Youth Link Summer of Play Fund.
The Eco-Art Summer Club is open to everyone, however priority will be given to Young People local to the area.
COVID restrictions and prevention measures apply, including hand sanitising, social distancing and the wearing of masks indoors. Please do not attend if you or anyone in your household is ill or showing symptoms.
