Images below on how to fold and glue together your die and ideas for creating forfeits and counters! Fun fact 1: Opposite sides on dice add up to 7. Sneaky maths. Simple card shapes and either a stick/ straw or half plastic bottle can be made into beautiful wands and lanterns. Be creative with your designs! Plastic bottle lanterns can be lit up with an electric tealight NOT a real flame candle! Fold up the squares of the cross base and stick the sheet of paper into the middle square only. Fold down the sides of the box lid, fold over the flaps and stick. Decorate with scraps of paper and pens and design your own map. Why not lead the hunt around the house/flat? Using sticky tape or frames with scraps of contact paper behind (sticky back plastic). Little fingers can add scraps of any materials to decorate. Use as many different textures as possible. Threading cards are perfect for developing those fine motor skills. Threading ribbon in and out of the holes. If you don’t have scratch art in your pack but you do have some black paint: colour a piece of card with your wax crayons. Use plenty of colour. Brush a layer of black paint over the top and leave to dry. Scratch in your design with a skewer or fork prong! For straw rockets, roll a tube of paper and stick. Seal the top of the tube with a piece of sticky tape or glue. Add paper wings. Pop loosely onto a straw, take a breath and blow sharply down the straw. See how far you can make your rocket fly!Boardgames
Portraits
You could use your portrait page to draw yourself or someone else but how about a collage? Use images and colours from a flyer or magazine to create everything from eyes to skin tone. The pictures below are inspired by artist Frida Kahlo’s self portraits and can be used to show personality or mood as well as features.
